Which products and work fall within the scope?

The assessment reference's terminology includes fixed and opening windows, doors, French windows, window units with integrated roller shutters, accessories and associated trim. It also includes assemblies such as horizontal or vertical window strips and projecting bay windows.

The activity encompasses glazing and infill panels, site sealing, thermal and acoustic insulation, integrated shutters or solar protection, and internal and external finishing connections. What does Qualibat assess?

Under section 4 of the reference, the company supplies evidence of professional civil liability and ten-year construction liability insurance covering exterior-joinery supply and fitting. Its designated technical manager needs at least five years of experience in the activity.

Each establishment within the certification scope must have an internal design office and installation service. Each fitting team includes at least two operators, including a technician with three years of exterior-joinery installation experience.

The application includes at least five completed projects, with detailed evidence for three reference projects accepted within the previous two years. Required records include technical photographs, signed orders, self-check sheets and acceptance records with any reservations resolved.

Section 5 provides for an audit at the company and at work in progress. The premises audit examines resources, organisation and project records; the site audit examines execution and staff competence. The examination commission decides whether to award certification.
