AI ads: your ads in ChatGPT and Google, where AI assistants do not cite you
Citead starts from the questions you track. When a competitor is cited and you are not, it suggests an ad topic, the best-scored page of your site to receive the visitors, the keywords with their search volume and cost per click, then writes checked ads and sizes three result scenarios.
Start for freeHow Citead prepares the campaign
1. Find the topics
Citead reads the latest checks of your tracked prompts and keeps those where an AI assistant cites a competitor without citing your site. For each topic, it shows the engines concerned and the competitors cited, gives the search volume and cost per click of the related keyword when they are already known, and flags the questions where Google's AI Overview already shows an ad.
2. Size the budget
You set the total budget, its split between ChatGPT Ads and Google Search and the campaign length; Citead then fetches the search volume and cost per click of each keyword from DataForSEO. It computes three scenarios (low, central, high) from assumptions shown with their source and date, which you can replace with your own figures.
3. Write the ads
Depending on the split you choose, each selected topic gives one ChatGPT Ads group, and one Google Ads group when a keyword of the topic has a known volume and cost per click. Each group points to the best-scored page among those of your site linked to the tracked question, if it reaches a score of 60; otherwise, and for a topic typed in by hand, to the home page, with a recommendation to write a dedicated page. Citead writes the ads to each platform's lengths (24 and 48 characters for the ChatGPT bulk import or 50 and 100 in Ads Manager, 30 and 90 for Google) and checks every text, including after your edits: length, banned terms, numbers missing from your site.
4. Export and track
Citead produces the ChatGPT Ads bulk import workbook and the Google Ads Editor CSV file; the campaigns are imported paused and you activate them yourself. Every link carries UTM parameters set by Citead, and when Google Analytics 4 is connected, the report shows sessions by source, medium and campaign.
What Citead does not do
- Citead does not create or activate any campaign at OpenAI or Google: you import the file into your account and you decide when to launch.
- No ad promises to be cited by an AI assistant.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a ChatGPT Ads account?
- Yes. Citead does not connect to your ad account: it prepares the bulk import workbook in the format of the ChatGPT Ads template, which you import into your account. For Google Ads, it provides a CSV file to import with Google Ads Editor.
- Where do the scenario figures come from?
- Google costs per click come from DataForSEO, converted from US dollars to euros at the ECB reference rate, or, when DataForSEO has no data, from a dated Citead assumption shown with its source. OpenAI publishes no cost per click for ChatGPT Ads, so Citead relies on dated third-party sources. Conversion rates are Citead defaults that you replace with those of your own funnel. Every assumption is shown in the plan with its source and date.
- Which plan do I need?
- Ad opportunities are included from Starter, limited to the first 3. The media plan, ad writing, export and report are included in Pro and available during the trial.
- How many credits does it use?
- Creating a plan costs 2 credits: it covers fetching the search volumes and costs per click, then computing the scenarios. Writing costs 1 credit per ad group written (one per topic and per platform in the split; for Google Ads, only when a keyword of the topic has a known volume and cost per click), and the same for each regeneration. Export, ad edits and the report use no credits.
