Definition: QualiPV is Qualit'EnR's qualification scheme for photovoltaic installation companies. QualiPV Bât covers building integration and over-roof mounting; QualiPV 36 and QualiPV 500 cover electrical installation within their respective power limits.
Key facts
- In its August 2026 qualification guide, Qualit'EnR assigns building integration and over-roof mounting at any power to QualiPV Bât, and electrical work up to 36 kVA or 500 kVA to the corresponding electrical qualification.
- The September 2026 qualification rules also include complete over-roof installation within the scopes of QualiPV 36 and QualiPV 500.
- The graphic charter, effective January 2026, assigns QualiPV Bât a “Qualification” logo. The electrical qualifications carry the RGE designation, meaning “Reconnu Garant de l'environnement”.
Which qualification covers each part of the installation?
The qualification guide distinguishes roofing competence from electrical competence for grid-connected photovoltaic generators. Its electrical limits use kVA: QualiPV 36 covers power up to and including 36 kVA, while QualiPV 500 covers power up to and including 500 kVA. QualiPV Bât has no power ceiling in this table.
The qualification rules identify roofing and waterproofing among the activities accepted for QualiPV Bât. Its scope includes building-integrated systems and systems mounted above the roof, called “surimposition” in the French documents. The electrical scopes concern building-related, grid-connected systems in France and include both electricity sales and self-consumption.
When must roofing and electrical competencies be combined?
For each building-integrated installation, the guide requires both roofing and electrical competencies: QualiPV Bât together with QualiPV 36 or QualiPV 500 according to power. These competencies can be provided internally, through subcontracting or through joint contracting.
Over-roof mounting has specific provisions. The rules expressly allow a QualiPV 36 or QualiPV 500 company subcontracting or jointly contracting over-roof installation work to use a company without QualiPV Bât. The qualified company must have insurance covering that arrangement and provide evidence on request. The same rules require general civil liability and ten-year construction liability insurance covering the full integrated or over-roof installation.
How can a website's qualification claim be checked?
The exact qualification labels to search for on the certificate are:
QualiPV module bât
QualiPV 36
QualiPV 500
The qualification rules make the certificate evidence of the company's qualification and specify that it displays the covered period. A qualification cycle alone does not establish current certificate coverage.
For website logos, the graphic charter permits qualified companies to use the supplied logos on their own websites until certificate expiry. QualiPV Bât uses the logo without RGE; authorized logos are available in the company's reserved area and carry a year.

FAQ
Does QualiPV Bât alone cover electrical installation?
The guide assigns electrical competence to QualiPV 36 and QualiPV 500. For a building-integrated project, you need to identify both the roofing qualification and the electrical qualification appropriate to its power.
Must the roofing and electrical qualifications belong to one company?
The same guide allows the two competencies required for building-integrated work to be brought together through subcontracting or joint contracting. It also allows both to be held internally.
