In short. Open a completed scan, review issue severity, then select an issue to inspect its affected URLs and download the list.

Definition: Bing Site Scan reviews technical search engine optimization (SEO) issues through a completed scan's issue list and affected URL drilldown. As of October 2026, Bing documents Errors, Warnings and Notices as its severity categories.

Key facts

Where are the results and severity categories?

Opening a completed scan leads to Scan Details. Bing's help article lists scan status, pages scanned, error and warning totals, and issues with severity and affected page counts.

Errors receive priority because they can affect indexability, the ability of pages to enter a search engine's index. Warnings have medium severity and may affect SEO health. Notices are lower severity issues or recommendations to investigate after errors and warnings.

How does the affected URL drilldown work?

Selecting an issue opens Issue details, according to Bing's Site Scan instructions. The affected pages appear sorted by page depth. The same documentation describes depth in clicks from the starting page. The list downloads in CSV format for sharing with the team handling repairs.

How can an individual page be investigated further?

Bing's URL Inspection introduction describes entering a URL under the selected domain to examine crawling, indexing and SEO details. The Index details card provides the page's index status, crawl and indexing information, plus options to inspect HTML and the HTTP response, the server's reply to a page request.

The SEO details section identifies errors and warnings, highlights the corresponding HTML code, and gives repair steps. The introduction also describes highlighting errors on the scanned page as it appears on the web. Live Check tests whether a page can be crawled without requesting indexing. The tool's MarkUp details section checks selected structured markup, code that describes site information for Bing to read.

FAQ

Which issues should I review first?

Review Errors first. Bing's severity guidance places Warnings next and Notices after both categories.

Can I check whether an affected page is indexed?

Enter its URL in URL Inspection. Bing's tool introduction assigns index status to the Index details card and describes messages explaining why a URL is absent from search results, with suggested actions.
